David Fincher's "The Killer" Trailer Finally Released

Following the announcement, back in 2021, that David Fincher's next movie would be a noir drama starring Michael Fassbender, under the title "The Killer". cinemagoers all around the world have been waiting in extreme anticipation.

Regardless as to whether you are a fan of any of Fincher's previous filmography, it's difficult to protest against admitting that the premise for The Killer does not seem enticing.

Fincher recently returned to the world of filmmaking following a length spell on the sidelines, with his most recent project, "Mank".

Mank followed the story of Herman J. Mankiewicz as he wrote the screenplay for one of the most iconic and well-thought-of movies of all time, Citizen Kane.

It goes without saying that Mank was a passion project of Fincher's, given that the screenplay for the movie was written by none other than his late Father, Jack Fincher. The film was nominated for a total of 10 Academy Awards, and picked up two of the honours on the big night.

Although there is little to know about David Fincher's next project, audiences were provided with a short teaser with a run time less than two minutes long just yesterday.

If fans didn't have questions before, they certainly do now. As the trailer failed to reveal much more information than what we already had.

If anything is to be taken away from the recent trailer drop, it is that we now can perceive some sort of vibe away from the film's contents that we can now expect come November time.

Dark, dramatic and intense would be the three words I would use to describe my perspective on The Killer so far. But then again, it's a David Fincher film, so what else would we really expect?

Fassbender stars as the lead role in this movie, also known as "The Killer", and nothing else at this point in time. The German-Irish actor is joined by fellow talented actors such as Tilda Swinton and Charles Parnell.

The film is set for a limited cinematic release in selected theatres across the month of October, with an official Netflix release due in November 2023.
