10 Years Have Passed In Insidious: The Red Door Trailer

The recent trailer drop of "Insidious: The Red Door" confirms that the Conjuring universe is all but dead, and that we will once again see the Insidious cast and crew re-unite once more.

For those in the audience that are squeamish, but still mustered up the courage to go and see any of the 4 Insidious productions over the last 13 years, will know just how frightening the contents of this franchise can be.

And we have no reason to believe that things will be any different this time around.

For the 5th instalment of the Insidious franchise, James Wan has stepped aside and claimed a producer role for the film, to allow Patrick Wilson to make his directorial debut. Given the standards set by Wan in the earlier stages of the Insidious world, this is no easy ask of Wilson.

From the films trailer, we can gather the information that the story takes place 10 years later than the origin movie, with Ty Simpkins reprising his role as Dalton Lambert, who is now all grown up and at college - but his past has decided to join him in his studies.

Original cast members such as Patrick Wilson, Lin Shaye, and Rose Byrne are all set to reprise their roles in what looks to be the final instalment of the Insidious storyline.

Will this film hold the insanely high standards of being part of one of the most frightening horror series of all time? Will Dalton finally escape from his suffered childhood? And how will things turn out for what is supposedly the final chapter in a horrifying storyline for this characters?
